About the business

Le Cocon Family Day Care is truly one of a kind. Located in the beautiful coastal town of Lennox Head, Northern NSW, children thrive in an all-natural, multi-cultural environment, complete with food forest, organic meals and chemical-free products.

Established in 2015, the family day care fast developed a reputation for its high quality of care which lead to a waitlist too long to be accommodated. As such, the team recently completed a second facility on the same property and is seeking the ideal candidate to operate the space independently but under the same philosophy.

About the role

  • Provide care for up to four children under school age full-time or part-time.
  • Weekly programming.
  • Daily documentation of children's learning.
  • Day-to-day administration.

Skills and experience

  • Good English communication skills and fluency in at least one other language (preferably French).
  • Australian citizenship or working visa.
  • Minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services (preferably a Diploma in Children's Services).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current approved certification in:
    • First aid,
    • CPR,
    • Asthma and anaphylaxis management, and
    • Food handling.
  • Registration with Ballina Byron Family Day Care Scheme (assistance provided).
