Family Day Care Educator

Novelty Family Day Care is looking to recruit Educators for their accredited Family Day Care scheme.
We are committed to the safety of children and use the National Quality Standards as a framework for quality child care. We place high importance on ensuring our Educators are provided with a strong basis enabling them to facilitate a high-quality program for the children in our care.
You can work from home with the benefit of support from our local Family Day Care Co-ordination Unit. Our team of Family Day Care Educators enjoy the benefit of working for Novelty Family Day Care with above award employment conditions, support, and guidance from our experienced Family Day Care Co-ordination Unit.

Educators in the Inner North and Northwest areas are particularly sought after.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring adherence to the National Quality Standards and other relevant Legislations are maintained and followed daily
- Understanding of Early Years Learning Framework
- Understanding of children's developmental needs and interests
- Developing a friendly, trusting relationship with the children and their families
- Ability to communicate with children, families and fellow Educators alike
- Maintaining a clean, safe and secure environment
Applicants must:
- Be committed to providing quality childcare
- Hold a minimum qualification of Certificate III in Children’s Service (or be enrolled and studying an approved course)
- Have own ABN – you will be an independent contractor to our scheme and not an employee
- Have knowledge on the National Quality Framework and Compliance obligations
- Have knowledge and experience in the provision of Educational Programs and Practice
- Be willing to go through a comprehensive induction process and background check
- Provide two work-related references relating to Family Day Care or Childcare
Process and conditions of registration include:
- A written application
- Interview conducted by Family Day Care fieldworkers in your home
- Reference checks
- Working with Children Checks of everyone in the home who is over 18 years
- Police checks of everyone in the home over 18 years or older
- Approved First Aid Certificate
- Safety check of your home
- Orientation training, including ‘buddy” time with selected educators
- Approved emergency asthma management training
- Approved anaphylaxis management training
