Coordinator - Outside School Hours Care - Moorooka

In our Assessment and Rating evaluations, we have proudly achieved “Exceeding the National Quality Framework “in 80% of our services recently assessed. We have a reputation for striving for excellence with a focus on high quality in a growing industry which is vital to many busy parents. 

We currently have an opportunity for a passionate and committed Coordinator to join our Moorooka team.

The successful OSHC Coordinator will be managing the operations of the service while building trusting partnerships with all families, children and community.  You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the daily routines, menus and programs ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of the children in our care.  This is a permanent role of 38 hours per week, with us offering an experienced candidate above award salary. Moorooka OSHC is an amazing service licensed to care for 105 children in a growing and forward-thinking school community with a focus on nature play.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Team Work: Showcase strong leadership abilities while supporting a team of Educators with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, empowerment and engagement.
  • Business Development:  Ability to plan, develop and meet short and long-term goals to strengthen the operations of the service. 
  • Inter-personal skills:  Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and well-developed emotional intelligence.  You must be a reliable and outgoing person who has lots of initiative.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to delegate, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and understanding in the implementation and ongoing management of the National Quality Framework.

The successful applicant should also possess:

  • A Diploma or higher qualification in child services or education with previous experience as a Centre Director or OSHC leadership role as well as experienced and a true passion for working with children
  • Have a working knowledge of current child care legislation, including the MTOP framework and the National Quality Framework or the ability to learn quickly
  • At least 3 years’ experience plus working with children
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to delegate, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain;
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check);

 Hours of work are varied:

  • 6.15am - 9.00am Before School Care
  • 2.30pm - 6.00pm - After School Care
  • Additional administration time
  • Various shifts during vacation care
