Early Career Project Officer
ACECQA is an organisation whose goal is to implement changes to support the early childhood education and care sector that benefit children and their families. We want children to have the best start in life!
How do we do it?
We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments.
We strive for innovation and continuous improvement and are committed to keeping the sector and the community informed with the latest developments in early childhood education and care.
We are looking for a student from each of the following areas of study, who will be completing a qualification in 2019 / 2020:
- Early childhood teaching
- Information technology or media/marketing/design
The successful applicants will work together as part of the ACECQA Educational Leadership and Sector Support team on a project developing an educational and interactive resource for the children’s education and care sector. The students will bring together their knowledge from their prospective fields to ensure accuracy of content and compatible resources. ACECQA will consider applications where a student from each area of study come together to submit a joint application.

This opportunity is located in Sydney for a fixed term of 3 months at ACECQA Band 1 ($55,545 – $60,121).

Selection Criteria
- Will complete an early childhood teaching qualification in 2019 or 2020 or will complete an Information technology (or similar, for example interactive media and design) diploma or degree or a marketing / communications / advertising qualification in 2019 or 2020.
- An understanding of, or ability to quickly gain an understanding of, the National Quality Framework and quality education and care.
- An interest in communicating with the education and care sector and stakeholders about quality education and care, and communication skills to fulfil this aim, or skills in developing options and solutions to support this communication.
- Effective teamwork skills, including an ability to contribute to the success of a project or team.
- An interest in working with ACECQA.You must have the right to work and live in Australia to apply for this role.
The successful candidate will be required to consent to a national police check.
