The Position:

We are looking for a Professional Development Consultant, to deliver non-accredited training within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. This role focuses heavily on the sales and marketing of our professional development services, along with delivery of relevant workshops, to external clients in a range of topics related to the industry. Content and material for these workshops will be provided by ACCCO. Company surface pro and mobile, will be provided. Travel may form an aspect of this role, as you may be required to travel nationally.

This is a casual role, starting off as 2-3 days a week, with the possibility of an extension into a permanent part-time, or full-time role.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Provide effective, professional, flexible, creative and innovative training programs, professional development, networking and learning activities to meet the needs of all external clients, staff and students;
     
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of issues, trends and requirements relevant to the education and care sector and use this as the foundation for all training, learning and consultant activities;
     
  • Market and sell our various Professional Development workshops to childcare centres, and external clients;
     
  • Work under the direction of the Curriculum Manager and CEO, to meet Key Performance Indicators, and grow the Professional Development Department;
     
  • Identify specific educational and developmental needs of target audience, and provide suggestions for content and curriculum accordingly;
     
  • Monitor the quality of workshop and training outcomes; and
     
  • Design and conduct needs assessments in association with delivery of learning opportunities to clients, staff and students of ACCCO as determine.

 

About you:

You will have training experience within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector and be experienced with delivering both accredited, and non-accredited courses. Working knowledge is required of all areas of the National Quality Framework, Work Health and Safety, Child Protection, Approved Learning Frameworks and other relevant legal and ethical frameworks.

Further requirements include:

  • A qualification in education (at least at a diploma level)
     
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred)
     
  • Training experience in Children’s Services
     
  • Up to date knowledge of issues, trends and requirements relevant to the education and care sector (school age care and early childhood).
     
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills,
     
  • Demonstrated ability to educate, lead and nurture training groups and learning activities
