Part time Childcare Centre Cook

Jetty Road Childcare and Kindergarten is seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Cook for a part time position within school hours

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Cook to join our friendly, well-established team in a family owned and operated centre comprising of 72 places.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Management of the kitchen from 8:45am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday including the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan nutritionally balanced meals in accordance with the Australian dietary guidelines
  • Preparation of morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea
  • Cater for food intolerances, allergies and special dietary requirements
  • Review menu plans seasonally
  • Complete all record keeping in relation to regulations and food safety audits
  • Ensure a high level of health and safety standards are maintained

Skills and experience

  • Previous similar experience
  • Knowledge of current food regulations and record keeping
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Certificate 3 or above in Childcare is preferable
