Educator (Diploma Trained)

A full time temporary maternity leave position is available at Jacaranda Preschool a community based preschool in Caringbah from April 29, 2019 until December 20, 2019.  Jacaranda Preschool is licensed for 60 children per day with children attending 2 or 3 days per week.  The successful applicant will be working in a room with 20 children per day alongside an ECT and a trainee. 

  • Service Educators (Diploma) are responsible for providing education and care for children enrolled at the service, in a team environment, consistent with our philosophy and curriculum, and according to the requirements of the National Quality Framework.
  • This role is covered by the Children's Services Award 2010 (MA000120).

The position and requirements:

  • This role requires a minimum of an ACECQA approved Diploma level of qualification.
  • Full-time (38 hours per week) over 5 days
  • Hours 8.15am to 4pm
  • Must have current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004), CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Child Protection CHCPRT001
  • Experience working in early childhood education and care with children from 3 years to 5 years
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team of educators
  • Understanding of and experience using the N.Q.S.,  E.Y.L.F and the National Regulations.
  • Knowledge and relevant skills in documenting children's learning through observations with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use technology for documentation.
  • A passion for early years education and curriculum

  • Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with families, children and other Educators
