Centre Director
A unique opportunity has come about for a passionate and caring Childcare Professional to lead our team of experienced and dedicated educators within our vibrant multicultural boutique service in the Toongabbie area. The Centre was purpose-built with all the amenities to provide comfort for children and educators.
As the Centre Director you will be required to grow the service through the delivery of excellence in service in the areas of innovative and effective programming, building strong relationships with families and developing engaging and resilient children in readiness for their life after preschool. You will have a professional and methodical approach to managing the service as well as able to handle ad-hoc situations as they arise to fit in with the routine operations.
Your approach to the role will be through a firm hands-on leadership style providing a positive role model and mentor to your team of educators to be creative and resourceful in the planning and execution of various periodical routines to maintain service compliance, effectiveness, efficiencies and viability.

The service is privately owned utilising a full consultative and collaborative approach to the management of the service. You will have full autonomy and be fully accountable for the operation of the service within the allocated costs, budget and targets for achievement. You are expected to work with the business owners to achieve the results set out as your goals and targets.
You will be in possession of:
- Early Childhood Teaching Qualification (recognised by ACECQA) OR Diploma in Children Services
- Experience in Director role with strong leadership, administrative and management skills
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF & NQF to achieve “Exceeding” qualities
- Knowledge of relevant legislative policies, standards & requirements
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training
- Understanding of programming and curriculum planning for children 0-5
- Competencies in Qikkids or similar childcare management systems
- Innovative and Continuous Quality Improvement mindset
You will be expected to:
- Be able to set the daily operational tasks for the Centre including managing the curriculum, overseeing the running of the facilities and be accountable for the overall image and quality of the Centre.
- Work with qualified educators to develop an appropriate and age relevant curriculum and ensure that it complies with all regulations and governing authorities.
- Be an Ambassador for workplace values and culture (leading by example) and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Manage the communication with parents and the community, develop policies for the service and communicate the policies to staff and parents.
- Work with business owners to develop medium and long-term strategies and plans to be delivered for the benefits of the Centre.
- Operate in a manner that is highly organised with meticulously planned routines and irregular events with actions to effectively execute your plans which are required to be communicated to all your stakeholders on regular frequencies as determined.
