Nursery Room Leader

FROEBEL Australia is a not-for-profit provider of early childhood education and care services in the tradition of Friedrich Fröbel, the renowned educator who developed the kindergarten concept.

We currently operate 4 centres in Australia, 2 in Sydney and 2 in Melbourne. The three existing ones have been rated "Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS)". Our newest early learning centre, FROEBEL Parkville, which opened in July 2018 hasn't been rated yet. This service has 100 places for children from 0 to 6 years of age and is located in the Parkville precinct.

FROEBEL Parkville is currently looking for an experienced & committed Nursery Room Leader. This room will have 24 children once full and the team will have 7 educators.

We need you to:

• hold an approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or Children's Services) or an approved Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Teaching
• have experience as a Room Leader
• have very good knowledge of the Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Framework
• have a keen interest in bilingual education and inquiry-based learning
• believe in positive team spirit and embrace working in a diverse team
• have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
• have excellent English language proficiency
• have a sunny personality with a positive attitude.

Please note that German language skills would be beneficial but are not required for this position as the centre's main language is English.
