Childcare Assistant - Part-time Contract
The WBACC operates the Gudjahgahmiamia MACS Early Learning Centre and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Childcare Assistant.
Gudjahgahmiamia operates Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
The position is for a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 76 hours per fortnight.
The position will commence Tuesday 12th March 2019 and end on the last day of centre operation for 2019.
The shift times and days will depend on the operational needs of the Centre.
The position will be reviewed in November 2019 and may be extended depending on the operational needs of the centre.
The Gudjahgahmiamia MACS Early Learning Centre prides itself on Wreck Bay Community cultural values and is committed to the Community it provides care for.
Required:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Current First Aid
- Experience in working in a child care setting
- A current Working with Vulnerable People check (ACT) or a Working with children check (NSW)
All qualifications must be verified and recognised in Australia.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- The ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, families and community members
- Knowledge of early childhood development and the proven ability to comply with all regulations and legislative requirements
- Actively contributes to the centre’s program and children’s individual portfolio’s on a weekly basis
