Childcare Assistant - Part-time 

Wagner Road Early Childhood Centre and Kindergarten - Clayfield is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Childcare Float.

Centre operates Monday to Friday 8am to 3.30pm during state school terms

The position is for a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 76 hours per fortnight.

The position will commence in March 2019.

The shift times and days will depend on the operational needs of the Centre.

The position will be reviewed in during 2019 and may be extended depending on the operational needs of the centre.

Required:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
  • Current First Aid
  • Experience in working in a child care setting
  • A current Blue Card 

All qualifications must be verified and recognised in Australia.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • The ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, families and community members
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and the proven ability to comply with all regulations and legislative requirements
  • Actively contributes to the centre’s program and children’s individual portfolio’s on a weekly basis
