Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator / Room LEader

John Street CECC is seeking a confident, enthusiastic and energetic Early Childhood Educator with a DIPLOMA qualification to join our dynamic and supportive team as a Room Leader.

This is a Full-time position, offering a 9 day fortnight. The successful applicant will go on our 4 week rotating roster, with a minimum starting salary of $53,000 plus super.

We employ all staff under the Professional Childcare Standard 2018 and will offer 5% above this rate on completion of a 3 month probation period.

You will need:

  • Successful completion of Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
  • Current, recognised Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate, with updates completed within the last 12 months
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
  • Awareness of the individual needs of all children and families.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to write holistic observations of individual children with clear links to the group program and the EYLF.
