Early Childhood Teacher

Catholic Early Learning and Care (CELC) as an agency of the Catholic Diocese of Cairns, is a leading provider of childcare in the Cairns region which operates 11 Outside School Hours Care services, three long day care centres and two kindergartens. CELC offers quality early learning and care programs that are child-centred and holistic. 

We are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher with engaging ideas and strong leadership to join the team in our sessional kindergarten. Your focus will be on developing a strong educational program that is specific to this age group providing opportunities for the children to grow and develop. You will work closely with families and engage them in their children's learning.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Currently studying an approved early childhood teaching qualification and hold a diploma or completed at least 50% of the course or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Current Positive Notice Blue Card or the ability to obtain
  • Recognised Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training or willingness to obtain
  • Willing be proactive in implementing curriculum
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
