About the Role: 

As the Centre Director you will play a pivotal role in aiding Genius realise its vision to be the leading provider of innovative, holistic, personalised early childhood education and care in Australia. This will be displayed through managing the day to day operations of the Centre, forging healthy relationships with families, developing your motivated team and delivering on financial performance targets.

As a Centre Director you will be leading, mentoring, and developing your centre's team to ensure the centre and the children in your care thrive whilst taking ownership of your centre including its financial success. This role requires a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to work autonomously and take initiative when required.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Childcare Centre to ensure the Centre complies with the National Quality Framework (NQF) across all related areas

  • Work passionately to develop relationships that support and partner with families

  • Lead, mentor, and support centre team members using Genius’ market leading Learning Management System to ensure they provide high-quality early learning and care that meets or exceeds the NQS

  • Manage Centre performance by applying strong business and financial discipline to meet financial KPI’s and Assessment & Ratings results

  • Ensure you are actively attracting, converting, and retaining families by effectively managing and overseeing tours, enrolments and orientation

  • Work with your Lead Educators to ensure that your team is providing a quality program including all elements of the planning cycle for the children and families at your centre.

  • Build relationships with the community.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills and knowledge within the Childcare industry

  • Previous experience as a Centre Director

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma-level early childhood qualification

  • Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training

  • Previous experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education Centre

  • Relevant working with children checks
