Lead Educator

GDMP Childcare, trading as Pomona Kindergarten & Early Years Learning is an exceeding centre based in Pomona on the Sunshine Coast with a nature and bush kinder program. With a commitment to exceeding the EYLF and QKLG curriculum requirements, we are passionate about the programs we deliver to our centre children and families. We have amazing children and families that we work with daily and we have a strong presence in our community.

As a lead educator you will help lead and guide our children's learning and care. You will be an effective communicator, have a working knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework, understand the regulations that govern our industry, including overseeing ratio requirements in regards to supervision, be adept at creating child documentation and be able to operate a computer/ ipad device.

Support is given in this independently owned centre for staff to engage in professional development and self growth. You will be responsible for guiding your team of educators to provide meaningful, play based learning and the highest standard of care for the children in our service. Staff welfare and support is a key feature of the the centre as we acknowledge the need for educators to marry their work, life balance and have the opportunity to grow as a professional. 

Our service offers weekly yoga and music lessons for all children to engage in and we are committed to our love of nature and sustainability. Our nature play and indoor, outdoor program is part of our daily offerings for our children. We also have a bush kinder program that operates throughout Terms 2,3 and 4.

Candidates must be Diploma qualified, have a valid Blue Card, First Aid qualifications and be able to work five days a week, full time, 37.5 hours per week.
