We require a passionate Diploma qualified educator with at least 1 years experience working with children under 2 years of age. This is a full time position working on a roster basis 8 hours per day. Above award wages and rostered day off once per month.

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our Alekarenge Family Centre in Ali Curung. CatholicCare NT will provide you with a unique & rewarding opportunity to work within a remote community in the heart of the NT. Ali Curung is an Indigenous Australian community in the Barkly Region of the Northern Territory. The community is located 170km South of Tennant Creek & 378 km North of Alice The Alekarenge Family Centre provides high quality education based childcare services to the families of the Ali Curung community. The program facilitates activities designed to enhance early childhood learning based on the needs and interest of the children, including the cultural, physical, social, emotional, language and learning development needs. The Alekarenge Family Centre Early Childhood Educator is responsible for the delivery of childcare services, including engaging with parents as well as some cleaning, tidying and simple cooking to support the children at the centre. Key responsibilities include: Implement, assess and review a high quality educational program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and with reference to the National Quality Standards; Develop strong relationships with children at the service; Provide educational, play based opportunities for children; Develop strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community; Utilize a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.
