Purpose of the role The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services. You will work to provide and facilitate a quality, compliant Family Day Care service. Provide an innovative and quality early education and care service to meet the needs of children and families in line with the National Quality Framework and Service policies and procedures requirements. Key Relationships Reporting to the Family Day Care Coordinator, the successful candidate will be directly involved in the provision of quality family day care service. They will also: Develop and maintain effective and respectful relationships with Educators, children, families, Early Childhood Professions and Regulatory Departments. Facilitate Playsession and Education and Care visits for registered Botany Family Day Care children and educators and assist with transportation of children. Key Responsibilities Developing, implementing and evaluating a quality Education and Care curriculum in consultation with Educators, children, families the Educational Leader and the Family Day Care Coordinator. Implementing strategies to maintain the overall cleanliness, tidiness, security and safety of the Service and supervision of a flexible and stimulating learning environment. Maintaining confidential and accurate updated records of children, families and Educators to meet legislative and regulatory requirements and to provide advice. Undertaking mandatory reporting to adhere to Child Protection guidelines and responsibilities. Essential Requirements Minimum qualification – Approved Diploma level education and care qualification and relevant experience working across the Early Childhood profession. Current First Aid Certificate relevant to the role. Working with Children Check (NSW). Approved Child Protection training. Current Driver’s Licence Class C. Working knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation, Child Protection legislation and regulation and National Quality Framework. What can we offer you?
