Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to join our Family Day Care team, in the role of Child Development Officer. Supporting the Family Day Care Coordinator, this role will see you ensure the provision of high quality child care within the Family Day Care Scheme, currently rated exceeding under the National Standards. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Planning, implementation and evaluation of programs suitable to the needs of children 0-5 years Running educational sessions for children and educators Monitoring activities and programs Conducting monthly home visits Interviewing parents and allocating placements for children within the FDC Scheme This role also provides professional advice and support to educators, children and families to ensure a secure, safe and stimulating environment, reflecting the National Quality Standard and The Early Years Learning Framework. To be considered for this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education / Child Studies at Diploma level or higher. A current First Aid Certificate, Class C Driver’s Licence and Working with Children clearance number is also required. This position is 35 hours per week with access to flexi time.
