About the role The City of Sydney's Education and Care Services team seeks highly skilled and motivated outside school hours care (OSHC) workers to join our team of educators. You will have demonstrated experience and skills in caring for and educating children aged 5-12 years old in an OSHC environment. Other selection criteria include: Diploma in Children’s Services/Outside School Hours Care or approved equivalent. Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates. Current Working with Children Check Certification and willing to undergo a police check Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and Child Protection Law and its application within an education and care setting. Experience in contributing to quality improvement and the establishment and implementation of high-quality programs in early education and care settings or with 5-12 year olds. Cert 3 or Diploma trained Early Childhood Educator
Green Umbrella OSHC is seeking a mature and passionate Early Childhood educator who is happy to work part-time for 5 hours a day for three days (Tuesday to Thursday) a week. This position requiring either a Cert 3 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards). The educator will work across both Kinma Preschool and Green Umbrella OSHC to facilitate the integration of 3, 4 and 5 year old children into out of school hours care. Kinma Preschool and Primary school have been providing high quality progressive education for over 50 years, based in Terrey Hills and Green Umbrella OSHC was started by parents in 2019 to provide after school care with the same approach. Both Green Umbrella OSHC and Kinma Preschool are rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards.
