Childcare Cook Part-Time 3 days (Mon, Tues and Wed)

We are looking for an experienced Childcare Cook to work part-time who is passionate about planning and preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals, and is able to cater for allergies and dietary requirements.

Duties and Requirements:

  • Prepare and cook morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for children based on a 6-week rotating menu.

  • Manage food budgets and shopping orders.

  • General computer skills

  • Knowledge of using Feed Australia (desirable)

To be considered for this position you will require Food Handling certificate and/or Food Safety Supervisor certificate, First Aid qualifications, and a current Working with Children Check.  

We are a CHILD SAFE organisation and all staff are expected to follow a Code of Conduct to commit to keeping children safe in physical and online environments.

About Organic Seedlings Education

Organic Seedlings Education is a family run, purpose-built child care centre offering long day care services for children aged from 2 to 6 years. We work in multi-aged/multi-staged groups across a flexible learning environment both indoors and outdoors. The centre is located at Edmondson Park, a rapidly growing south-western Sydney suburb.

The centre offers a unique learning environment for young children which reflects natural surroundings and is established based on principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. We are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 48 weeks of the year. We are closed for 4 weeks during the Christmas period.
