The Role The Assistant Program Manager will work closely with our experienced Program Manager in the delivery of a leisure based program for children attending Erskineville Public School. The suitable candidate will have experience and a strong understanding of school aged children with knowledge of the My Time Our Place framework to undertake the delegation of Educational Leader. The position is term-time only with the option of working in the vacation care program during school holiday periods. There is a requirement to work split shifts across the week and the option of additional hours for the completion of specific research projects related to the role of Educational Leader. The hours of work are 31 hours per week to be worked as follows: Before School Care: Monday – Friday 7am – 9am After School Care: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 3pm-6pm, plus Thursday 1pm -6pm Plus an additional 4 hours of non-contact time About you The position would suit a candidate who is confident, well organised and able to work independently and as a member of a large team. You will have experience in a similar role and understand your role as leader and certified supervisor. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage with children in an authentic and positive way. In return you will receive an Educational Leaders allowance, access to professional development and non-contact hours and support to undertake the responsibilities and key requirements of the role. Essential requirements for this position are: New working with children check Qualifications or study in Education or similar A current first-aid certificate and asthma and anaphylaxis training or willingness to undertake training in this area.
