About the Service

ECTARC Keiraview is the longest running ECTARC early education and care service  and was established in 1987.  The service is in the Wollongong CBD nestled at the end a quiet cul-de-sac with large natural outdoor play spaces. Our central location and extended opening hours are beneficial to many of our families who access the service from across the Illawarra as they work or study nearby. ECTARC Keiraview is a 45-place service for children from birth to school age. 

Our vision at Keiraview is to ensure that our community feels a sense of belonging, being and becoming and that we provide high quality education and care. This can be seen in our everyday practice as we respect the rights of the child and instil a sense of wonder in a play-based learning environment.

About the Role 

ECTARC Keiraview are seeking an experienced educator who holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care to work as part of a passionate and capable team who are committed to enriching the futures of young children. In collaboration with others you will plan and implement high-quality educational, innovative and inclusive programs, whilst also establishing relationships with families to ensure best outcomes for young children.

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number
  • Current approved first aid qualification for early education and care HLTAID004
  • Completed an approved child protection Statement of Attainment
  • Experience working in early childhood services
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake the role of Responsible Person on Duty
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current early childhood theories and practice & children’s services legislation
  • Demonstrated high level of ethical and professional behaviour, including collaboration and confidentiality
  • A commitment to practicing ECTARC values every day
  • Strong commitment to you own professional learning
