Educator
Billy Lids Kindy is a long-standing, family-owned early childhood education and care service located in Cranbrook, Townsville. We are seeking a dedicated Educator to join our team and contribute to our high-quality, play-based learning program for children aged 3–5 years.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Support children’s development, wellbeing and inclusion in daily routines and experiences.

Ensure a safe, nurturing and hygienic environment in line with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

Build respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan.
Essential Requirements

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with willingness to progress toward Diploma.

Current First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training).

Valid Working with Children Check (Qld Blue Card).

Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF, NQS and National Regulations.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week). The successful applicant will work within a supportive team under the guidance of the Lead Educator and Director.
Billy Lids Kindy offers above-Award pay and professional development opportunities. All educators currently receive 10 % above Award through the QLD Workforce Retention Grant, increasing to 15 % from 1 December 2025.
