Centre Director
Location: Illawong, Sutherland Shire
Contract: Temporary – January 2026 to February 2027 (possible extension)
Hours & Availability Requirements: Part Time (Term Time), approximately 20 hours per week.
Suggested roster:
This role offers flexible scheduling, with suggested hours of 12:30-5:30, Monday to Thursday. Core hours of 3:00 - 5:30 are required to support after school care. Additional hours may be required to cover staff leave in Before and After School Care sessions, and you will be expected to support supervision on the floor when needed.
About the Role
You will work in collaboration with the Centre Manager and Educational Leader as part of the service’s leadership team. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting operational excellence in compliance, quality, and service delivery

Ensuring all legal obligations are met under the Education and Care Services National Law, National Quality Standard, and Child Safe Standards

Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for children

Building strong relationships with families, the school, and the wider community
-
Overseeing enrolments and supporting new family transitions
-
Contributing to continuous improvement and quality outcomes
-
Managing compliance, documentation, record-keeping, and regulatory processes

Primarily off the floor, with some on-floor support as required

Assisting with events across the annual calendar

Reporting to a supportive and established P&C Committee
Required

Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or School Age Education and Care

CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT001 – Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk

NSW Working With Children Check
-
HLTAID012 – First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis
-
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
-
A genuine passion for school-age education and care
-
Confident leadership and strong communication skills
-
Good computer literacy
-
Experience with Child Care Software
-
