Nurruby Children’s Services Incorporated is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive education and care for children and families across three regional NSW communities. We proudly operate eight services, including four Out of School Hours (OOSH) programs and four Early Years services.

We are currently seeking a visionary and dedicated Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation into its next phase of growth and sustainability.

Reporting directly to the Management Board, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership, governance, financial oversight, and operational management of Nurruby Children’s Services Incorporated. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements, supporting service managers, and maintaining strong connections with families, staff, and the wider community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the organisation in alignment with our values and mission
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality education and care across all eight services
  • Work collaboratively with the Management Board to implement strategic plans and goals
  • In conjunction with Chief Financial Officer, ensure financial accountability and sustainability
  • Manage funding agreements and government reporting
  • Lead, support, and develop a committed team of staff
  • Foster partnerships with stakeholders, including families, communities, and funding bodies.
  • To manage all risks according to risk assessments and risk management plan.

 

The ideal candidate will be a confident and compassionate leader with:

  • Demonstrated experience in executive or senior management within the early childhood, education, community, or not-for-profit sectors
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and funding in a not-for-profit context
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate teams
  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen
  • A commitment to inclusive and community-focused practices
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
