Centre Supervisor / Educational Leader – Diploma Qualified
We are a family-owned early childhood centre located in the Hurstville area, currently seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Supervisor / Educational Leader to join our team.
Our service caters for 40 children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, in a warm, supportive, and welcoming environment. About the Role This is a leadership position suited to an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about providing high-quality education and care.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the centre while leading and mentoring educators to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children. As the Centre Supervisor / Educational Leader, you will:
- Support the Approved Provider and Nominated Supervisor with daily centre operations.
- Lead and mentor educators to deliver high-quality educational programs
- Oversee curriculum planning, documentation, and reflective practices
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), EYLF, and regulations Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the community
- Promote a strong culture of child safety, wellbeing, and inclusion Assist with staff support, rostering, and daily organisation when required
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Assessment & Rating readiness Work alongside a dedicated, qualified, and collaborative team of educators Essential Requirements
- Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates Current Child Protection / Child Safety Certificate
- Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and Child Care Regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong mentoring skills and passion for children’s learning and development . What We Offer
