Early Childhood Educator (Casual - Multiple Positions)

Salary:  Certificate III qualified - From $37.08 per hour, plus 12% superannuation, plus 25% casual loading

              Diploma qualified – From $40.89 per hour, plus 12% superannuation, plus 25% casual loading

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Moverly Children's Centre is seeking Early Childhood Educators, Certificate III or Diploma qualified, to join the team on a casual basis.

Purpose:

Work as a member of the child care team in providing a high quality long day care service for up to 39 children, 0-5 years of age, with a particular emphasis on educational programs, good communication skills and working in a team environment. 

About the role:

  • Take shared responsibility for individual and groups of children to ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment are provided at all times.
  • Work with the child care team to ensure that the Centre at all times operates within Council and the Centre policies and procedures. Liaise with team to ensure children’s services Regulations are met at all times to ensure a safe environment for both staff and children.
  • Maintain an open, supportive team environment with team members, which facilities the implementation of a challenging program for all children and assures parents that the Centre is providing a high quality service.

About you:

  • Understanding of health and safety issues and children’s services regulations
  • Ability to assist in creating a warm, encouraging learning environment for all children
  • A NSW Working with Children Clearance, as per the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, obtained via the Office of the Children’s Guardian
