Centre Manager / Nominated Supervisor

About us:

Glenfield Preschool Kindergarten (GPK) is looking for a Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor for our 28 placement centre. We are committed to high quality care employing the Early Learning Years Framework (ELYF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) for children 6 weeks to 6 years.  We strongly believe in providing quality care through evidence-based learning programs in a nurturing environment that supports children to reach their full potential. 

About the role: 

·        Supporting a strong team culture

·        Managing the daily operational functions of the centre, including rosters and staff management

·        Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a healthy and safe environment 

·        Implementing and reviewing of policies and procedures 

·        Working with families, staff and external stakeholders to develop and maintain strong relationships

·        Supervising Educators to ensure high quality care and education for children

·        Monitoring and evaluating performance of the centre and facilitating quality improvements

·        Driving a high standard of practice in line with the EYLF and NQS

·        Manage inquiries, enrolments and tours

·        Leading and mentoring Educators  

·        Ensuring all documentation is completed according to regulations   

·        Understanding of early childhood theories

·        Willing to work flexible hours between 7am and 6pm weekdays

 

 Skills and Experience: 

·        Qualification as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), Working Towards Early Childhood Teacher or ACECQA approved                   equivalent

·        Experience in a similar role preferred  

·        Experience in development and implementation of programs 

·        High level of professionalism with colleagues and families

·        Willingness to learn and develop

·        Excellent written and verbal skills

·        Current Working with Children’s Check 

·        Willing to obtain a National Criminal Record Check

·        First Aid Certificate
