3 Day Nanny Educator (15827) Newport
3 days per week with a child aged 12 years
Rate: $40.30 - $43.01 (L3) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf)
Monday: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
Thursday: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
This family would like:
We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and proactive Educator to work one-on-one with a bright and happy 12-year-old child currently enrolled in online schooling.
This is a unique opportunity to support a neurodiverse learner in a home-based setting, helping to nurture both academic growth and life skills development.
Provide structure and guidance following online classes to support continued learning and help to prioritise tasks.
Use tools such as mind mapping to support learning and goal setting across both educational and home environments.
Support the development of practical life skills such as meal planning, creating shopping lists, selfcare and caring for the family dog.
Encourage outdoor exploration, physical activity, and nature-based learning opportunities. Help identify and foster the child’s individual interests, including sports and other extracurricular activities.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys making a meaningful difference in a child's life through a blend of academic support and holistic life learning.
You must:
- Have obtained or are working towards your Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state
- Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
- Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
- Have a car & driver's licence
- Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
- Full working rights in Australia. (A range of visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay - for example: visa 190 or visa 186. Applicants with 417 & 462 visas need not apply.)
